Content Moderation Policy

CoRaise is designed to support constructive communication between parents who share responsibility for children. This policy explains how we maintain respectful communication, what content is prohibited, how we moderate, and what enforcement actions we may take.

Prohibited Content

The following types of content or behavior are not permitted on CoRaise:

  • Harassment — Repeated or severe targeting of another user with hostile, demeaning, or intimidating language or behavior
  • Threats — Direct or indirect threats of harm to another person, their family, or their property
  • Hate speech — Content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Illegal material — Content that violates applicable law, including but not limited to defamation, fraud, or material that exploits or endangers minors
  • Malicious sharing of private information — Posting or sharing another person’s private information (e.g., address, phone number, financial details) without consent with intent to harm or harass
  • Abuse of messaging tools — Using the platform to spam, flood, or otherwise misuse communication features in a way that disrupts or harms another user

We may also take action against behavior that, while not explicitly listed above, is clearly inconsistent with a safe and respectful co-parenting environment.

Moderation Methods

We use a combination of methods to identify and address violations:

  • Automated language analysis — Systems may flag messages that appear to contain prohibited content (e.g., threats or severe hostility) for review. Automated tools do not make final decisions; they assist in prioritization.
  • User reporting — Users can report messages or behavior that they believe violate this policy. Reports are reviewed by our team or designated processes.
  • Administrative review — When a report is received or content is flagged, we may conduct a review to determine whether a violation occurred and what action, if any, is appropriate.

Enforcement Actions

Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Message removal — Removing specific messages or content that violate this policy
  • Warnings — Notifying the user that their content or behavior violates our policy and asking them to comply
  • Temporary restrictions — Limiting certain features (e.g., messaging) for a defined period
  • Account suspension — Temporarily suspending access to the account while we investigate or until the user agrees to comply with our policies
  • Account termination — Permanently terminating the account in cases of serious or repeated violations

We may escalate from lighter to stronger actions if violations continue. In cases involving illegal activity or serious harm, we may report to authorities in addition to taking enforcement action.

Goal of Moderation

Moderation on CoRaise is designed to maintain constructive communication between parents and to protect users from harassment, threats, and abuse. We aim to enforce this policy fairly and consistently so that the platform remains a useful and safe tool for co-parenting coordination.

If you have questions about this policy or wish to report a violation, see our Safety & Reporting page.
